Share:
ITT Corporation (ITT) has been awarded a contract to provide maintenance, supply and transportation services to the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps on Camp Arifjan and other locations in Southwest Asia. The award is a task order under the Field Installation Readiness Support Team (FIRST) contract vehicle, for one base year with four one-year options.

The expected value of work completed in 2010 is approximately $45 million, with a total potential contract value of approximately $230 million with all options exercised.

Work will be performed by ITT Systems, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. ITT is a global leader in providing maintenance, sustainment and operations support for the U.S. government facilities, vehicles, equipment, ranges, communication networks and systems.

Recently, ITT Corporation announced that it has been selected by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center as part of the Raytheon (RTN) team to provide components and services for the next generation of Global Positioning System (GPS).

Under the contract agreement, ITT will provide navigation processing components, precision monitor station receivers, and key components of the system security design for the GPS Advanced Control Segment. The segment will improve accuracy, availability and continuity of the GPS, and brings increased situational awareness to U.S. military users and consumers worldwide.

This new contract represents phase B of the program and will encompass system design, development, integration, and transition to operations. The contract represents the continuation of ITT’s products and services delivery to the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, which selected ITT as part of the initial phase of the contract awarded in 2007.

ITT Corporation designs, manufactures and sells a range of engineered products and provides related services worldwide. The company’s Defense segment provides a range of information, situational awareness, and electronic warfare systems for multiple military aircraft, surface ships, submarines, and ground vehicles; systems integration, communications, engineering, and technical support solutions; a range of research, technologies and engineering support services to government, industrial and commercial customers; and systems support solutions for combat equipment, tactical information systems and facilities management.
