2 SPAC Deals: Urban air mobility company Blade announced it was merging with Experience Investment Corp EXPC.
The company’s four key targets are short distance flights of 60 to 100 miles; Blade airport flights between all New York airports; Blade Medimobility, which is the largest transporter of human organs in the Northeast U.S.; and international joint ventures with local partners in key overseas markets.
Semiconductor company indie announced a SPAC merger with Thunder Bridge Acquisition II THBR. The company helps automotive companies in the push for autonomous and electric cars.
Headlines: Among the show headlines was a rumor that Peter Thiel-backed SPAC Bridgetown Holdings BTWN is merging with Tokopedia, an Indonesian e-commerce company.
The show also mentioned a joint press conference between Lordstown Motors Corp RIDE and Camping World Holdings CWH. The press conference turned into an announcement of working on an electric RV and Camping World providing sales and service support for the upcoming Endurance electric pickup from Lordstown.
Biden SPACs: Pine Island Acquisition, which still trades as units under symbol PIPPU, was a company mentioned as a SPAC with direct ties to Joe Biden.
The SPAC has four former Senators, the former House Minority leader and the former under secretary of defense for policy under Barack Obama.
The team also includes Tony Blinken and General Lloyd Austin, who are President Joe Biden’s picks for Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense respectively.
ArcLight Clean Transition Corp ACTC counts Audrey Lee as a member of the SPAC. Lee is the Co-Chair of the Clean Energy for Biden organization. Lee is also the former Vice President of SunRun Inc RUN.
