Adobe Systems (ADBE) reported better than expected earnings after the closing bell, and the stock has surged 6.19% in the after hours to $37.40. ADBE earned $0.40 per share compared to consensus analysts estimates of $0.37. The company also issued forward looking guidance which exceeded analysts' estimates.

Shares of MF Global (MF) have gained 12.30% on the back of the news that the company has named Jon Corzine as its new Chairman and CEO. Corzine is a former co-chairman of Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) and most recently was the governor of New Jersey. MF stock is now trading hands for $8.20 in the after hours session.
