Shares of the following companies may see some unusual movements in trading on Thursday, according to Bloomberg.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT), the provider of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines, was up 0.15% to $62.15 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

Cephalon, Inc. (NASDAQ: CEPH), a biopharmaceutical company, disclosed in a regulatory filing that it has altered a credit agreement dated August 15, 2008. Shares of Cephalon were up 1.02% to $72.19 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR), which is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of solar modules, was up 1.65% to $111.26 in after-hours trading on Wednesday. Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) initiated the coverage for the company with Overweight rating.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESLR), a developer, manufacturer and marketer of String Ribbon solar panels, was up 1.68% to $1.21 in after-hours trading on Wednesday. The company was rated Equal-Weight by Morgan Stanley.

Energy Conversion Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: ENER) was rated Underweight by Morgan Stanley. Shares of Energy Conversion Devices were up 0.55% to $7.35 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. (NYSE: IVN), an international mineral exploration and development company, said that it was planning to bring its Kyzyl Gold Project in Kazakhstan into commercial production. Shares of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. were up 0.41% to $16.34 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.

Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. (NASDAQ: SLXP), a specialty pharmaceutical company, received an approval from the FDA to use Xifaxan, its biggest drug, for a toxic liver disease. Shares of Salix Pharmaceuticals Ltd. were up 9.93% to $36.85 in after-hours trading on Wednesday.
