Gold Stocks at New Highs – AUY, YRI, NGD, GG, ABX
Today shares of Gold mining companies are in focus as U.S. gold rose to record highs for a third straight day on Thursday as a bearish outlook for the U.S. currency prompted investors to buy the metal as a hedge against losses in dollar-denominated assets.
Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE: AUY) is trading at its new 52-week high of $12.42, climbed over 8% on 19.09 million shares. While Yamana Gold Inc. (TSE: YRI) is trading up 6.21% very near to its 52-week high.
New Gold Inc. (USA) (AMEX: NGD) rallied 4.01% to $4.41 and made a new 52-week high at $4.50, Goldcorp Inc. (USA) (NYSE: GG)rose 2.04% to $43.04, very closed to its 52-week high of $43.39.
Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE: ABX) climbed 2.21% to $40.15 and it has a 52-week high of $42.10
