Corus Entertainment Inc CJREF reported a 9.3% rise in its first-quarter profit.
Corus Entertainment also lifted its annual dividend for its Class A and Class B shares by 9 Canadian cents.
Corus Entertainment's quarterly net profit climbed to C$50.5 million ($49.2 million), or 61 Canadian cents per share, from C$46.2 million, or 56 Canadian cents per share, in the year-ago period.
Corus Entertainment's revenue surged 6.6% to C$236.9 million. Its revenue from the television segment surged 10%.
Corus Entertainment shares closed at $20.80 yesterday.
