National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) said that Donald Macleod will succeed Brian Halla as chief executive when Halla retires. Halla will retire as CEO on Nov. 30 but will remain chairman. Macleod, who currently serves as president and chief operating officer, will hold the positions of president and CEO.
Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE: ABX) Mining group Xstrata Plc agreed to sell its 70% interest in the El Morro copper-gold project in Chile for $465 million to Canada's Barrick Gold Corp, Xstrata said on Monday.
Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER) announced that it will acquire BearingPoint Management Consulting (Shanghai) Ltd. a management and technology consulting company with offices in Shanghai and Beijing.
Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG): The biggest U.S. motorcycle maker said it will start talks in coming weeks with union workers in York, Pennsylvania, to decide whether to keep open the company’s largest U.S. manufacturing facility. Friday, HOG closed at $23.75.
