With the latest report, here is a look at how many vehicles Tesla delivered and produced in each quarter dating back to 2019.
Tesla’s Q1 Deliveries: Tesla reported deliveries of 422,875 vehicles in the first quarter. The total was up 36.4% year-over-year. First quarter production was 440,808 units for Tesla.
Model S and X deliveries came in at 412,180 units, up from the 388,131 units delivered in the fourth quarter of 2022.
“We continued to transition towards a more even regional mix of vehicle builds, including Model S/X vehicles in transit to EMEA and APAC," the company said in its release.
The first quarter record deliveries and production figures come after the full fiscal 2022 year, which saw the electric vehicle company report deliveries of 1,313,851 units and production of 1,369,611 units.
Tesla opened its Gigafactory in Berlin in the first quarter of 2022 and the Gigafactory in Austin, Texas opened in the second quarter of 2022. The two factories are expected to help the company boost production and also expand to new vehicle production in the future.
The 1.3 million vehicles produced set a record for Tesla, but also came in shy of its goal of 1.5 million vehicles produced for 2022. For 2023, Tesla has a goal of producing 1.8 million vehicles, with CEO Elon Musk believing the company can come closer to two million units.
