MrBeast Is Giving Away $50K As Birthday Bonanza: What You Need To Do To Win It

Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is celebrating his birthday by giving away $50,000 to five lucky Instagrammers.

What Happened: On Sunday, MrBeast took to Meta Platforms Inc.'s META Instagram on his birthday and announced that he is giving away $50,000 to five followers — that means $10,000 to each.

To win the money, Instagrammers must share the post to their Story and tag someone in the comments section. The YouTube sensation also pointed out that people who don't follow him cannot get the money since he won't be able to dm (direct message) them.

He concluded the post by saying that winners will be picked in 72 hours, so the clock is ticking.

Why It's Important: Last week, it was reported that Donaldson now has over 150 million subscribers on his main YouTube channel.

Besides his popular videos on YouTube, MrBeast is known for surprising his subscribers with large sums of money and expensive gifts, but his focus has shifted towards more charitable endeavors over the past few years.

In March, a video featured on Donaldson's Beast Philanthropy channel showed the YouTuber setting out to help thousands of kids in South Africa to gain access to education by buying them shoes.

In January earlier this year, MrBeast made headlines by paying for 1000 blind people to have cataract surgery.

Last week also, Donaldson paid for 1000 deaf people to get hearing aids, according to a video posted on his channel.
