Google Maps Unveils Immersive View For Routes: Take A Virtual Trip Before Hitting the Road

Alphabet Inc.’s GOOG GOOGL Google Maps has introduced a new feature called Immersive View for routes that allow users to preview their entire journey before setting off. 

What Happened: Google has announced Immersive View for route, its latest addition to Maps that can help users visualize every segment of a route, including bike lanes, sidewalks, intersections and parking, before they go out. 

Users could be walking, cycling or driving, the artificial intelligence integrated into the feature would provide information like how many cars might be on the road.
