The Arkansas man photographed propping his foot on a desk in then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the Jan. 6 Capitol attack was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.
What Happened: After a trial earlier this year, Richard “Bigo” Barnett was convicted on eight counts, which include civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, and theft of government property, reported CBS News.

Barnett's photo of him sitting at a desk in Pelosi’s office became one of the most indelible images from the Capitol riots. The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Christopher Cooper said the defendant had “not shown any acceptance of responsibility” while handing him out his sentence of 54 months.
The government prosecutors had requested a sentence exceeding seven years, highlighting Barnett’s admission of entering the Capitol with a stun gun and an American flag. However, Judge Cooper was skeptical about some of the government’s assertions and imposed a shorter prison term.
Barnett told the court that he was “not proud” of his conduct but argued it was not “threatening.”
“They want me to be remorseful for things I did not do,” he said, adding that he “wasn’t treated fairly.”
“Jan. 6 was a traumatic day for everyone … I admit I was angry, and I apologize for that.”
