Plastic Surgeon Hails 'Miracle' Weightloss Drug Ozempic, Says 'They're Better' Than Botox

Botched star and plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow praises ‘miracle’ weight loss drug Ozempic, calling it a significant medical breakthrough, Us Magazine reports.

Dubrow and another plastic surgeon/TV personality Dr. Paul Nassif recently discussed the benefits of Ozempic, a controversial weight loss drug.

"These Ozempic-type drugs aren't the new Botox. They're better. They're Botox, liposuction, breast augmentation, facelifts,’Dubrow said.

Ozempic, commonly used for Type 2 diabetes, has been adopted by celebrities like Amy Schumer and Tesla CEO Elon Musk for rapid weight loss. Despite some users reporting negative side effects and unhealthy weight loss, Nassif believes professionals will continue to learn about Ozempic’s uses over time.

Dubrow highlighted a recent New England Journal of Medicine article showing patients losing 26% of their body weight within a year using a similar drug, Mounjaro. He emphasized the importance of proper use for safety.

As Ozempic’s popularity grows, Nassif warned of a potential shortage and the drug’s tendency to cause muscle mass loss, urging users to maintain protein intake.
