Notable YouTuber Jordi van den Bussche is outsourcing starring and production roles to his AI alter ego.

Jordi van den Bussche, known as “Kwebbelkop” on YouTube, has launched an AI version of himself to star in and produce videos to avoid burnout. The Amsterdam-based gaming creator, boasting 15.1 million subscribers, started his YouTube journey in 2011, Insider reported.

After experiencing a burnout five years ago, van den Bussche began exploring ways to ease the pressure and secure his online legacy. In early August, he launched “Kwebbelkop AI”, a cartoon-like avatar that mimics his voice and actions, now featured in gaming videos on his channel.

Van den Bussche, with his team of coders and 10 full-time staff members, is continuously developing the AI tool, aiming for it to be “fully autonomous” by the end of the month. This AI tool is expected to not only play games but also incorporate sound design and edit videos.

The first video with “Kwebbelkop AI” was uploaded on August 2, sparking mixed reactions among viewers. However, van den Bussche remains confident that his AI-powered content will only get better and more entertaining over time.
