Billionaire Mark Cuban, who recently slammed Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as a Donald Trump remix, lashed out at politicians in a new post on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

What Happened: “Politicians could learn from business,” Cuban said, making a couple of points to make his case.

“In politics, passing legislation is not an accomplishment. It’s an obligation to execute on a plan to help our country. .,” the Dallas Mavericks owner said. In business, raising money is not an accomplishment but an obligation to execute on a business plan, he added.

Cuban said a smart CEO gives credit to employees who did the work while politicians don't.

“I’m waiting for a politician who doesn’t take credit for simply passing legislation but actually cares about the results and gives credit to the people who do the actual work,” he said.

The billionaire also said someday, when politicians realize that results and attribution are important, legislation will lead to a more positive impact, but it will also lead to greater trust in government.

Why It's Important: Cuban's comments come at a time when presidential hopefuls are doling out tall promises and taking aim at each other to shift momentum in their favor. On Thursday, the billionaire entrepreneur called out Ramaswamy for “throwing out dog whistles” and then denying them.

“As if they are a honey-pot for the media to take the bait to challenge him so he can deny the claim and play the victim,” he said.

Cuban is the founder of Cost Plus Drug Company, through which he sells low-cost medicines which are transparently priced.

In the Mackinac Policy Conference earlier this year, Cuban said while politicians play games, entrepreneurs are asking, “Why can't I start this business, why can't I be in any town in the state of Michigan and do something special, and watch it grow, and watch it change everything?”

“So, I can tell all those dumbass politicians: You keep on wasting your time, while I get the sh-t done,” he added.
