Panasonic Comments on Media Reports about its Businesses

Panasonic Corporation (NYSE:

) today commented on certain media reports about its businesses, which include TV business. The media report is not on any official announcements by Panasonic. Though the Company has been studying various plans for the strategy of the businesses, nothing has been decided.

reported that a Panasonic subsidiary, plans to reduce the production capacity of its ALIVH boards at its PCB plants in Taiwan and Vietnam due to decreased demand. Another report said Panasonic is planning to reduce shipments of its PDP TV products and focus on procurement of LCD TV panels.
