Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) rallied 9.7% to $38 after the seller of nutritional and weight-loss supplements forecast 2010 earnings of at least $3.50 a share, more than the $3.41 average per-share estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
TNS, Inc. (NYSE: TNS) sank 6.57% to $26.25. The provider of data communications to credit-card-payment processors cut its annual revenue forecast, saying it expects sales of $478 million at most, less than the $482 million average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Diedrich Coffee, Inc. (NASDAQ: DDRX) Peet's Coffee & Tea, Inc. (NASDAQ: PEET) and Diedrich announced today that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which Peet's will acquire Diedrich in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at $26.00 per share or a total value of approximately $213 million.
Himax Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: HIMX) reports Q3 adjusted EPS of $0.09, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter was $203.10 million, which compares to the estimate of $207.88 million. It sees Q4 GAAP EPS $0.03 - $0.05. Sees Q4 sales down 15 - 19% sequentially.
Hutchinson Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: HTCH) reports Q4 adj-loss of $0.04, 4 cents better than the analyst estimate of ($0.08). Revenue for the quarter was $103.2 million, which compares to the estimate of $102.66 million.
