Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio) expressed concern over the handling and sharing of classified documents related to current and former presidents, CBS News reported.
During an interview on CBS News ‘Face The Nation,’ Turner, who is also the Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, pointed out that both the Biden and Trump classified documents contained classification errors.
“I can tell you from the ones I’ve seen, they are equally egregious and equal classification issues that both Biden documents and Trump documents have the equal concern and threat and equal classification,” he said.
Turner added that none of the documents should have been out of a controlled environment emphasizing the need for transparency.
“We want to see them all,” he said.
The Ohio Representative also mentioned the limited number of documents made available by the intelligence community, specifically those deemed not subject to executive privilege.
He further questioned the status of the Biden Special Counsel, contrasting its obscurity with the ongoing court proceedings concerning the Trump documents.
When asked about the level of classification of the documents, Turner stated from his observation that both the Biden and Trump documents have “equal concern and threat and equal classification.”
