Miami Man Uses Trump's Quote To Deny Assault And Kidnapping Charges: 'She's Not My Type'

An individual from Miami, accused of kidnapping and sexual assault, has quoted former President Donald Trump in his defense during trial, NBC 6 South Florida reported.

The accused, Francis Fernandez, testified in his own defense, contrary to his attorney’s advice.

“I’m gonna say like Donald Trump. She’s not my type,” he said.

The incident allegedly took place in May 2020, when the victim, referred to as "Z", was waiting for a bus. The woman claims Fernandez forced her into his vehicle and drove away.

Fernandez, however, stated that the woman had flagged him down, and pleaded for a ride after missing her bus.

He insisted that the encounter was consensual, saying, “She never got raped by me because it was consensual. It was consented the moment she got in my car.”

Prosecutors highlighted that the crimes continued even after Fernandez knew of the victim being differently abled. If found guilty, the 53-year-old could face life imprisonment.
