Anthony Fauci, Millionaire Biohacker Bryan Johnson Reportedly Part Of Growing Consensus Around This Inexpensive Dietary Supplement

There’s a growing consensus among anti-aging scientists and biohackers on the benefits of vitamin D for longevity, according to an article published on Insider on Monday.

Although there is no standard anti-aging protocol, many experts, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, anti-aging researcher Joao Pedro de Magalhaes, and billionaire longevity investor Christian Angermayer are advocating for Vitamin D supplements. The vitamin is touted for its immune-boosting and anti-cancer properties.

Vitamin D helps our bodies absorb calcium, maintaining bone health. Studies have shown that older adults taking vitamin D supplements reduce their risk of fractures. The vitamin also prevents muscle cramps, reduces inflammation, and improves immune function.

Dr. John Bilezikian, an endocrinologist, suggests 15 to 20 minutes of sun exposure in summer is adequate for most people. However, certain groups, such as elderly adults, people with darker skin, and those who aren’t regularly in the sun, should consider year-round vitamin D supplements.

Biohacker Bryan Johnson takes 2,000 IU of D3 each morning, while Angermayer takes about 4,000 IU every three days. Dr. Fauci didn’t specify his dosage but confirmed his levels are now “normal.”

De Magalhaes supplements his intake in winter, as part of his “moderately healthy” anti-aging regimen. Experts warn against exceeding the safe upper limit of 4,000 IU per day, as it can lead to dangerous calcium buildup.
