Cloudflare Partners With Meta: Revolutionizing AI With Llama 2 On Workers Developer Platform

Cloudflare, Inc. NET has struck a deal with Meta Platforms, Inc META, bringing the Llama 2 open-source large language model (LLM) to developers crafting AI applications on its developer platform, Workers.

Llama 2 is often considered a direct competition with other AI language models, such as OpenAI's GPT-4.

"Meta has been a great contributor to the open source community, and bringing that same approach to AI is going to help ensure that powerful AI is accessible to all developers, and their communities, around the world, with data localization built in," said Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder, Cloudflare.

Over a million developers utilizing Cloudflare can leverage a premier LLM to enhance their applications.

Cloudflare's extensive edge network empowers developers globally to create applications with Llama 2.

Additionally, with Cloudflare's Data Localization Suite, developers have control over the locations where their data is processed.

Cloudflare's prioritization of privacy in application development aids companies in establishing trust with customers by guaranteeing that data utilized for inference is not employed for training or refining the LLM.

"Giving every developer access to Llama 2, one of the most robust LLMs to date, no configuration required, is going to propel generative AI forward in ways we've only imagined so far," Prince added.

Price Action: NET shares are trading higher by 1.32% to $57.43 premarket on the last check Wednesday.
