After Hours Gainers (HIG, PACR, NETL, DLB)
Hartford Financial Services (NYSE: HIG) climbed over 5% after reported a third-quarter net loss of $220 million, or 79 cents per common share. Hartford was expected to make a profit of $1.11 a share, according to the average estimate of 18 analysts in a Thomson Reuters survey. Hartford forecast 2009 core earnings of 85 cents per common share to $1.05 per common share. That was up from the insurer's previous guidance for 2009 core earnings of zero to 20 cents per share.
Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ: PACR) jumped 20% to $3.25 after it has entered into new arrangements with Union Pacific Railroad (UP) that will further accelerate Pacer’s transformation into a fully-integrated, door-to-door intermodal service provider
NetLogic Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NETL) rose 4.25% to $40.05 after posted Q3 revenue of $42.3 million and non-GAAP profits of 45 cents a share; the Street had expected $41.8 million and 33 cents. Revenue was up 10.4% year over year and 30.3% sequentially.
Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) jumped 1.63% after posted fourth-quarter results that beat market estimates, helped in part by a 25 percent rise in service revenue and a slight drop in operating expenses, but forecast fiscal 2010 earnings below expectations.
