After Hours Losers (STEC, TRGL, CNW)
STEC, Inc. (NASDAQ: STEC) plunged 32.66% to $15.59 as the company warned orders from a key customer could be at risk in the first quarter. For the third quarter, Stec earned $24.5 million, or 47 cents a share, compared with $1.2 million, or 2 cents a share, a year ago. Excluding items, it earned 50 cents a share. Revenue grew 50 percent to $98.3 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of 47 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $96.6 million.
True Religion Apparel, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRLG) fell 10.50% after its quarterly profit fell 9% and missed estimates by a penny. For the full year, True Religion, whose namesake jeans can retail for as high as $300 in specialty boutiques and major department stores, said it now expects per-share earnings of $1.82 to $1.86, up from its prior view of $1.76 to $1.84.
Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW) declined 3.13% after its net income fell to $13.5 million, or 27 cents a share, from $40.5 million, or 81 cents a share, in the same quarter last year. Net income applicable to common shareholders was also $13.5 million in the quarter. Revenue totaled $1.13 billion, down from $1.37 billion a year ago.
