Wonderland Conference Miami: Bridging Psychedelics And Overall Wellness

The Wonderland conference debuted three years ago with a mission to draw various aspects of the psychedelic industry together to focus on improving society’s mental health. Now, in its third iteration, the conference has expanded to include topics and sectors such as nascent psychedelic biotech companies, wellness and longevity.

“I realized we have an opportunity to provide a platform where people can learn, ask questions, and access education in an open, collaborative environment," said Connor Haslam, 31, chief executive officer of Microdose, the producer of Wonderland.

Haslam’s colleagues were enthusiastic about gathering in South Florida for a three-day, informative experience in a collegial, risible atmosphere with prolific attendees.

Upcoming Event: Wonderland Miami November 9-11, 2023

Wonderland is holding its third conference from November 9 to November 11 in Miami, Florida. Organized by its parent company, Microdose, the conference entitled "Psychedelics, Longevity, Mental Health: Discover The Future of Wellness," will feature a celebrity keynote in the Psychedelic Science track by Bryan Johnson, founder and CEO Blueprint, Kernel and OS Fund.

Johnson collaborated with psychedelic biotech company Cybin on a project using Kernel’s Flow technology to quantify the psychedelic effects of Ketamine on the brain in real time. Known for his penchant for biohacking to attempt to apocryphally “de-age” his physical body, he is a  proponent of veganism and wellness.

Wonderland will also feature neuroscientist Dr. Amy Reichelt, chief innovation officer of PurMinds Neuropharma. An equanimous lecturer, Dr. Reichelt is a recognized leader in neuroscience, specializing in psychedelic drug development. She has 15 years of expertise in translational medicine.

Wonderland Conference at Ice Palace Studios

Relocating to a new venue each time keeps the element of freshness to the event that could get stale by appearing in the same venue year after year. The annual consortium, held at Ice Palace Studios this year, pulls together psychedelics industry experts, including people with Ph.D.s in formulation, instrument and drug manufacturers, testing labs, research scientists, medical practitioners, policymakers, and interested novices.

Surrounding Events

In addition to keynotes, panels, workshops, and an exhibition space for vendors, there will be side events, including the separately ticketed Ketamine Taskforce fundraiser at Planta on November 9. Proceeds from ticket sales for the benefit will go directly to further the organization’s mission to have U.S. health insurance companies cover the cost of ketamine therapy for afflictions such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). (Benzinga’s readers will receive 10% off tickets with code SB10.) Captain Kimberly Juroviesky (Ret.) is a disabled Air Force veteran and Nurse Practitioner. Juroviesky, who helms the Ketamine Taskforce, will also speak at the conference on a panel of female veterans.

Award Ceremony

Microdose Psychedelic Insights has announced the nominees for the Third Annual Wonderland Conference Awards. Benzinga’s head of content, Javier Hasse, is one of the nominees.
