The Business and Trade Committee announced that Macrow will testify on November 14th, addressing the MPs' concerns regarding the alleged pervasive misconduct in McDonald's outlets, reported Bloomberg.

These claims surfaced following a BBC report, which revealed over 100 testimonials from current and former employees about a distressing work environment. The workers, some as young as 17, reported frequent incidents of sexual harassment from their colleagues. 

"I am completely determined to root out any behaviour that falls below the high standards of respect, safety and inclusion we demand of everyone at McDonald's," said Alistair Macrow, according to the report.

He added that that all reported incidents have been thoroughly investigated, and highlighted the introduction of additional reporting channels and the engagement of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP to reassess the company's internal procedures, as per the report.

Alongside Macrow, a McDonald's franchise owner and two trade union representatives are also scheduled to provide their testimonies to the committee.
