ETF issuer Global X said the The Global X Brazil Consumer ETF will begin trading on Thursday July 8 under the ticker "BRAQ" on the New York Stock Exchange.
Global X introduced the Global X Brazil Mid Cap ETF BRAZ last week and plans to introduce the Brazil Financials ETF later this year. That ETF is expected to trade under the ticker "BRAF."
BRAQ will track the Solactive Brazil Consumer Index of 28 companies including Cia de Bebidas das Americas, Latin America’s largest brewer known as AmBev, and JBS SA, the world’s biggest beef producer, according to Bloomberg News.
Global X also has plans for ETFs that track Brazilian utilities and raw materials producers. BRAQ will be the eighth Brazil-specific ETF to be made available to U.S. investors.
