Bitcoin Trades Above $70,000 Following GDP, Jobless Claims Data; GateToken Emerges As Top Gainer

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved higher, with the cryptocurrency prices trading above the key $70,000 level on Thursday.

Ethereum ETH/USD, however, recorded losses, falling below the key $3,600 mark this morning.

GateToken GT/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Internet Computer ICP/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

The U.S. economy grew an annualized 3.4% in the fourth quarter, up from 3.2% previously reported. U.S. initial jobless claims fell by 2,000 to 210,000 in the week ending March 23, compared to market estimates of 215,000.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $2.66 trillion, recording a 24-hour gain of 0.4%. BTC was trading higher by 0.4% at $70,524 while ETH fell by around 0.4% to $3,573 on Thursday.
