Macy's, Koss And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Friday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling around 90 points on Friday.

Shares of Macy’s, Inc. M rose sharply during Friday's session.

An investor group aiming to purchase Macy's has reportedly increased its bid for the second time after previous offers failed. Arkhouse Management and Brigade Capital Management recently raised their proposal by approximately $300 million, reported The Wall Street Journal.

Macy’s shares jumped 10.4% to $19.79 on Friday.

  • Koss Corporation KOSS shares gained 41.7% to $15.07, possibly on continued retail investor interest.
  • NANO Nuclear Energy Inc. NNE gained 17.7% to $27.85.
  • Sirius XM Holdings Inc. SIRI shares rose 12.6% to $3.9750.
  • Mesoblast Limited MESO gained 11.6% to $7.60.
  • Eos Energy Enterprises, Inc. EOSE gained 10.1% to $1.9495. Eos Energy recently expanded a project with Indian Energy and the California Energy Commission.
  • Fitell Corporation FTEL gained 8.9% to $31.98.
  • DigiAsia Corp. FAAS rose 8.9% to $5.95.
  • Insmed Incorporated INSM climbed 8.3% to $67.26. Insmed reported inducement grants under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).
  • Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. HTZ gained 7.6% to $3.77. Oppenheimer analyst Ian Zaffino maintained Hertz Global with a Perform rating.
  • Arm Holdings plc ARM shares rose 7.4% to $180.54.
  • Smith & Nephew plc SNN gained 7.2% to $26.93 after a Form6 filing showed Cevian Capital II GP Limited reported a 5.021046% stake in the company.
  • Archer Aviation Inc. ACHR rose 5.8% to $4.45. Archer Aviation 10% owner SFS UK 1 LTD. acquired a total of 17,401,153 shares at an average price of $3.16.
  • AppLovin Corporation APP gained 4.4% to $90.79. AppLovin is expected to report financial results for the second quarter on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
