NetVRk, a cross-platform metaverse focused on AI and GameFi, on Tuesday announced the launch of the alpha version of its AI-powered metaverse.
This release integrates advanced language models and emotional intelligence, allowing users to interact with non-playable characters (NPCs) that possess memory, real-time reactions, and awareness of their virtual environments.
The company aims to create a more dynamic user experience by incorporating AI into metaverse interactions, it stated in a press release shared with Benzinga.
The alpha version also includes blockchain functionality, enabling players to earn rewards through AI companions that can be customized, owned, and traded as NFTs.
NetVRk offers users the ability to build, monetize, and personalize their digital creations, providing a platform for gaming, social interaction, and business ventures within a Web3 environment.
Linus Chee, co-founder and CEO of NetVRk, described the launch as an effort to improve user engagement in the metaverse.
He highlighted that the AI integration allows for more interactive and personalized experiences, blending entertainment with educational and emotional support elements.

The platform also introduces play-and-earn mechanics with cross-chain blockchain functionality, enabling competition between players.
The GameFi elements are intended to attract both gamers and creators to develop monetizable experiences, though it remains to be seen how successful these mechanics will be in drawing a wider audience.
NetVRk plans to engage its user base further by launching competitions where players can share their interactions with AI NPCs, with rewards in $NETVR and NFTs for the most viral content.
This approach aims to foster community engagement, but its effectiveness will depend on user participation.
The upcoming Benzinga Future of Digital Assets event on Nov. 19 is expected to explore how technologies like AI and blockchain will shape the future of digital environments, including the role of user-generated content and monetization strategies.
