Blink Expands In Mexico With Porsche EV Charging Deal: Details

Electric vehicle charging solutions provider Blink Charging Co. BLNK has secured an agreement to supply 50 chargers across select premium hotels, retail outlets, and restaurants in Mexico as part of the Porsche Destination Charging Program.

This collaboration aims to provide convenient charging options for owners of fully electric and plug-in hybrid Porsche vehicles at exclusive destinations such as hotels and golf clubs.

Blink Charging will deploy its IQ200 chargers at these selected locations, providing up to 19.2 kW of power for fast and effective charging.

Porsche Destination members will receive complimentary charging sessions, along with a Blink RFID card and a 35% discount at additional Blink Charging sites.

“We’re excited to be working with Porsche to bring our cutting-edge charging technology and services to these travel destinations in Mexico,” said President and CEO at Blink Charging, Mike Battaglia.

“Hospitality destinations are a key driver behind EV accessibility in LATAM and play a pivotal and dynamic role in driving forward the progress and acceptance of EV technology.”

Partnering establishments will also receive a portion of the charging fees. These charging stations are set to go live in March 2025, supporting Blink’s expansion in Mexico, offering services like installation, maintenance, and support.

The Blink Network employs exclusive, cloud-driven software to manage, monitor, and track the electric vehicle charging stations within the network, along with their charging data.
