Microsoft Corporation co-founder Bill Gates and legendary Indian Cricket player Sachin Tendulkar last week played a lighthearted game of "Crennis," sparking playful banter on social media and an invitation to Roger Federer and Satya Nadella to join in.

What Happened: In a video shared by Tendulkar on X, formerly Twitter, saying "Sport teaches us teamwork, life demands the same. Crennis was fun, but the real action is brewing with Sachin Tendulkar Foundation & Gates Foundation."

The video features Gates joking, "I thought we were playing tennis," as Tendulkar corrects him, "Bill, I said Crennis—a mix of cricket and tennis."

The two go on to play a jovial match on a tennis court, with Tendulkar using the street cricket rule "one tip, one hand" to call Gates out.

Gates is later seen reading a fictional Rules of Crennis book as the duo mixes cricket strokes with tennis serves, wrapping up their game with Mumbai's iconic street food, vada pav.

Microsoft CEO Nadella responded to the video saying he'd love to try the game himself. In response, Gates said, "Done," and then extended an invitation to tennis icon Federer, saying to join them for a "doubles Crennis match,"

Why It's Important: Gates has long been known for his passion for unique sports.

The Microsoft co-founder currently has a net worth of $162 billion, making him the seventh richest person on Bloomberg's Billionaire Index.
