Retirement Living TV to Premiere Alzheimer's Disease Special

Share:

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - August 17, 2009) - Retirement Living TV (RLTV), the only network
dedicated to adults 50+, will air an exclusive television special, "Not
Fade Away," on September 21 in conjunction with World Alzheimer's Day.
Working in partnership with the National Cable & Telecommunications
Association (NCTA) and the Blanchette Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute
(BRNI), RLTV's documentary features personal stories of patients diagnosed
with Alzheimer's disease and the cutting-edge science underway at BRNI to
find a cure.

Over five million Americans live with this debilitating and fatal form of
dementia. The documentary explores the lives impacted, such as Blanchette
Hooker Rockefeller, mother of Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV). She died of
Alzheimer's complications in 1992. Rockefeller founded BRNI in remembrance
of his mother. It is the world's only non-profit institute dedicated to the
study of both human memory and diseases of memory.

"I applaud RLTV's and the cable industry's commitment to helping raise
awareness around Alzheimer's disease," said Senator Rockefeller. "'Not Fade
Away' reminds all of us of the devastation that this disease inflicts on
millions of people each day, and the families who must provide for their
loving, long-term care. Importantly, the program also highlights the hope
that we can all take from the research being conducted at BRNI -- research
that I'm very proud is contributing to one day finding a cure."

"Not Fade Away" will air exclusively on RLTV and on the Video on Demand and
online platforms of its affiliates. Due to the relevance of the content,
RLTV will feature additional airings over the coming months. The only
television network created for adults 50+, RLTV provides entertainment and
information on a variety of critical issues specific to the Baby Boomer
audience, many of whom are dealing with elderly relatives.

"RLTV's 'Not Fade Away' is an example of our commitment to bring the
important issues of healthcare and aging to light," said John Erickson,
founder of RLTV. "We are pleased to work with BRNI to help educate
consumers about Alzheimer's disease."
