Radware (NASDAQ:
RDWR) is higher on strong volume today, as the company has been subject to takeover rumors recently, and it looks like there might be something to those rumors.
Radware, which provides application delivery and network security solutions to a variety of different industries has been mentioned by some as being a potential acquisition target for Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:
HPQ) or IBM (NYSE:
IBM).
HP has gone on a spending spree, acquiring 3PAR (NYSE:
PAR) and ArcSight (NASDAQ:
ARST) lately, as it looks to ratchet up growth in cloud computing.
Radware, with a market cap of less than $700 million would be easily swallowed up by one of these two tech titans, who have more than $20 billion in cash sitting on the companies balance sheets.
Shares of RDWR are up $1.54 or 4.44% to $36.19 with just under an hour left to the trading week.
