Advent Announces Alliance With Thomson Reuters to Deliver Pricing and Reference Data to Geneva(R) Clients

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - Advent Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADVS), a
leading provider of software and services for the global investment
management industry, today announced that it has entered into an agreement
with Thomson Reuters to link Geneva®, its award-winning portfolio
management and fund accounting solution, with Thomson Reuters' global
pricing and security reference data service, DataScope Select.

DataScope Select provides global pricing and security reference data
including corporate actions for portfolio management, administration and
valuation. The service covers the spectrum of data from the global
exchanges, as well as foreign exchange, fixed income and derivative
pricing. Together with Thomson Reuters, Advent will develop an interface
that will offer Geneva® clients access to DataScope Select.
