According to
Re/code, Facebook FB is expanding its talent search to build its drone team to fulfill Mark Zuckerberg's vision
of delivering the Internet “to everyone.”
Facebook's
job openings show that the company is looking for experts in avionics, thermal and power systems. The company is also looking for control engineers to work on aircraft-related tasks.
Re/code also points out that the company was previously searching for candidates to fill aerospace-related job openings to work out of its office in London. The job postings followed Facebook's acquisition of Ascenta, a U.K. based drone maker.
Facebook's engineering director Yael Maguire previously told Mashable
that the company plans to begin testing its drones in the air by 2015 with the project being fully operational three to five years after.
