Regional - Mid-Atlantic Banks traded 2.52% lower on Monday. In the space, Bank of the Carolinas Corporation (NASDAQ:
BCAR) lost 11.32%, and Wilmington Trust Corporation (NYSE:
WL) slipped 4.49%.
Foreign telecom services industry dropped 2.26% today, and in the sector, Tele Norte Leste Participacoes SA (ADR) (NYSE:
TNE) closed 2.80% lower on a huge volume. Telefonica S.A. (ADR) (NYSE:
TEF) fell 2.76%, and France Telecom SA (ADR) (NYSE:
FTE) lost 1.34%.
Diversified investments industry lost 2.25% on Monday. Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:
GS) struggled today, and dropped 3.37%. Goldman Sachs (
GS) closed at $161.05, and had a volume of 11.34M traded shares.
Regional - Southeast Banks recorded a decline of 1.49% on Monday. In the sector, F.N.B. Corporation (NYSE:
FNB) fell 3.02%, and Regions Financial Corporation (NYSE:
RF) lost 2.73%.
