Top Performing Large Cap Financials (BAC, WFC, AXP)
Financials and tech stocks are leading the market marginally higher today. In the financial sector some large cap outperformers include Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC), and American Express (NYSE: AXP). The action today in these names is quite positive considering that the Obama administration just unveiled a plan to tax 50 of the largest financial institutions in order to recover taxpayer money spent on bailouts.
Leading the way today is Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) which has climbed 1.5% to $16.87. This is a name that a lot of people are quite bullish on and it continues to perform well into 2010. Also having a positive day is Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) which has appreciated 1.64% to $29.05 going into the closing bell. Another name in the group is American Express (NYSE: AXP) with a 1.3% gain. The shares are currently trading hands for $42.68.
