NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 12, 2009) - Apollo Investment Corporation (the "Company") AINV announces that it has priced its public offering of 18 million shares of its common stock at an offering price of $8.75 per share, raising $157.5 million of gross proceeds. The Company has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 2.7 million shares to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on August 18, 2009.
The Company expects to use the net proceeds of this offering to fund new investments, repay outstanding indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
