• Banco Santander plans to pay $2.5 billion to Bank of America BAC for its stake in a Mexican unit

• Eclipsys ECLP plans to buy Allscripts MDRX for $1.3 billion, or $22.10 per share

• Cardinal Health CAH plans to buy Health Solutions for $667 million

• Texas Instruments TXN said it sees second quarter earnings 60 cents to 64 cents per share on revenues of $3.45 billion, up from its prior view of 56 cents to 64 cents a share on revenues of $3.31 billion.  Several firms, including Needham and FBR, maintained "buy" ratings on the company

• Navistar NAV posted better-than-expected second quarter earnings of 42 cents a share, compared with Zacks expectations of a 5 cents loss. Revenues of $2.7 billion were inline with Zacks projections

• Goldman Sachs GS removed Boston Scientific BSX from its Conviction Sell List, but kept its "sell" rating on the stock, with a price target of $5.50

• Deutsche Bank DB maintained a "hold" rating on Mirant MIR, with a $13 price target

• JP Morgan JPM initiated coverage of Sonic Solutions SNIC with an "overweight" rating and a price target of $13
