30-year mortgage rates move up

Rates on a 30-year mortgage have risen slightly for a third consecutive week, but 15-year money has eased a bit. A 30-year, fixed-rates mortgage averaged 4.24 percent for the week ending Nov. 4, up from last week's average of 4.23 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year loan averaged 4.98 percent, according to Freddie Mac FRE. A 15-year, fixed-rates mortgage this week averaged 3.63
