• Alcoa AA reported fourth quarter results of $0.21 lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.24, on revenues of $5.65 billion, below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $6.09 billion

• Lennar LEN reported fourth quarter earnings of $0.17, well above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of  $0.02, on $860 million in revenues that topped the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $779 million

• Intel INTC has settled a patent dispute with Nvidia NVDA, agreeing to pay $1.5 billion as licensing fees for the next five years

• Reacting to the news that CEO Dirk Meyer had resigned, Advanced Micro Devices AMD proposed an interim CEO and reported  preliminary fourth quarter revenues of $1.65 million and reaffirmed 2011 guidance

• HSBC HBC has upgraded Citigroup C from "hold" to "buy" rating

• UBS UBS has downgraded AMR AMR to "neutral" from "buy" rating

• Deutsche Bank DB started coverage of Patriot Coal PCX with a "buy"  rating and a target price of $28, and Massey Energy MEE with a "hold" rating with a target price of $60

• Credit Suisse CS upgraded Macy's M from "neutral" to an "outperform" rating

• FBR maintained an  "outperform" rating on Fluor FLR, but removed the firm from its "Top Pick List," with a target price of $84
