• Qualcomm QCOM reported Q1 EPS of $0.82, ex-items, ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.63 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose 25% year-over-year to $3.35 billion, above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.139 billion

• Starbucks SBUX reported Q1 EPS of $0.45, above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.35 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose 8% year-over-year to $2.95 billion, ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.716 billion

• US Airways LCC reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $0.17, well above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $-0.43 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose to $2.91 billion, ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.858 billion

• Praxiar PX reported Q4 adjusted EPS of $1.25, lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.26 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose 9% to $2.62 billion, slightly below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $2.648 billion

• Stifel Nicolaus has upgraded real-estate investment trust, Boston Properties Inc BXP to buy from hold rating. The share prices of the company rose 1.17% to $92.33 after the company reported its quarterly earnings results

• Baltimore-based firm, Legg Mason LM dropped 5.22% after the company reported a lower figure of asset under management under their control

• Share prices of Covidien rose COV 0.42%, after reacting to news that shares of the company will be added to the S&P index replacing shares McAfee MFE
