Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD)- Advanced Micro Devices sees adjusted earnings of 5 cents a share and revenue of $1.61 billion, while the company a year earlier posted earnings of 35 cents–an adjusted 9 cents after items such as a $325 million gain on a spinoff–and revenue of $1.57 billion. Amgen Inc. (AMGN)- Amgen is expected to earn $1.29 a share excluding the cost of stock options in the first quarter, flat with adjusted earnings of $1.30 a share in the year-ago quarter. Total revenue for March quarter is expected to rise about 2% to $3.68 billion.
Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc. (AMLN)- Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc. is projected to post a first-quarter loss of 23 cents a share. Amylin Pharmaceuticals(AMLN) was surging 19.9% to $13.50 after the company, Eli Lilly (LLY) and Alkermes(ALKS) announced that European regulators have recommended the approval of an experimental type 2 diabetes treatment.
American Express Co. (AXP)- American Express Company is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings results on the 20th of April, 2011. As consumer spending return to pre-recession levels, card payment processing companies like Visa, MasterCard and American Express could see their earnings results also normalize. Apple Inc. (AAPL)- Apple is scheduled to release its 2Q 2011 earnings on the 20th of April, 2011 and will hold its conference call webcast at 5 p.m. ET on the same day.
Bank of America (BAC)- Bank of America, the largest U.S. bank, said Friday its first-quarter profits slid 38% on a year-over-year basis to $2 billion, driven by losses in its mortgage division. Citigroup Inc. (C)- The company will report its first quarter earnings Monday, with analysts expecting to see $0.09 per share, versus $0.15 during the same period last year. Technical indicators for the stock are bullish and S&P gives C a positive 4 STARS (out of 5) buy ranking. Citigroup Inc is estimated to report a profit of 9 cents a share in the first quarter.

Google Inc. (GOOG)- is expected to announce first quarter results, Google continues to see relatively steady growth in paid clicks, which is what counts. EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region saw some strength in the last quarter, which bodes well for Google, since it has a dominant share of those markets as well. Shares of the search-behemoth were off more than 8% as higher-than-expected capital expenditures spooked traders.
Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS)- Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is scheduled to report its first-quarter 2011 results before the market opens on Tuesday, April 19. General Electric Co. (GE)- GE is expected to post a first-quarter profit of 28 cents a share from continuing operations, according to a survey of analysts by FactSet Research. In the year-ago period, the company said it earned 21 cents a share.
Halliburton Company (HAL)- Halliburton Co. is forecast to post earnings of 59 cents a share in the first quarter. Halliburton Company moved 1.17% higher to $46.68 per share in today's trading. Stock volume in Halliburton Company was 9 million shares in the trading session.
Honeywell International Inc. (HON)- Honeywell International 5-year Credit Default Swap (HON.US) widened 0.93 basis points (or 2.7%) to close at 35.61 basis points. The CDS rose for a second day on Friday bringing its two-day rise to 1.7 basis points or 5.0%. An increase in spread is a bearish signal. Intel Corp. (INTC) - Analysts expect earnings of 46 cents a share and revenue of $11.6 billion. A year earlier, the company posted earnings of 43 cents and revenue of $10.3 billion.
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) is the 7th most profitable stock in this segment of the market. Its net profit margin was 16.91% for the last 12 months. Infosys (INFY)- Infosys, India's second-largest software exporter, revealed disappointing fiscal fourth-quarter results, sending shares plummeting nearly 10%.
International Business Machines Corp. (IBM)- IBM will report quarterly revenue of $23.41 billion and EPS of $2.33. This is roughly inline with the Street's estimates of $24.01 billion in revenue and $2.30 in EPS. Keycorp (KEY)- Keycorp is estimated to report a profit of 14 cents a share in the first quarter. Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) is the 2nd most profitable stock in this segment of the market. Its net profit margin was 30.84% for the last 12 months.
Mattel (MAT)- Mattel a toymaker, was another firm which reported a low power earning as its Q1 net income dropped 33.00% to $16.60 million, or $0.05 per share, against $24.80 million, or $0.07 per share, from a prior year earlier. The results were pondered by a lawsuit associated to Bratz dolls.
McDonald's Corporation (MCD)- Its net profit margin was 20.55% for the last 12 months. Its operating profit margin was 31.04% for the same period.. McDonald's last announced its quarterly results on Monday, January 24th. The company reported $1.16 earnings per share (EPS) for the previous quarter, meeting the Thomson Reuters consensus estimate of $1.16 EPS.
M&T Bank Corp. (MTB)- M&T Bank Corp. is expected to report first-quarter earnings of $1.41 a share. Nvidia Corp. (NVDA)- Analysts see Nvidia earning 19 cents a share on $947 million in revenue. A year earlier, the company earned 23 cents on $1 billion. Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PBR) moved up 2.31% to $37.795 in the trading session today. 15 million shares were traded so far in today's session. On average, a total of 19 million shares are exchanged in PBR each day.
Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM)- Analysts see Qualcomm earning 80 cents a share on $3.63 billion in revenue for the fiscal second quarter, up from 46 cents, or an adjusted 59 cents, and $2.66 billion a year earlier. Schlumberger NV (SLB)- Schlumberger Limited. shares moved 1.14% higher to $87.0 per share in today's trading. The move occured on volume of 5 million which is relative to the 8 million shares which trade on average each day.
TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (AMTD)- TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. is forecast to post earnings of 28 cents a share in the fiscal second quarter. Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN)- Texas Instruments is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 58 cents a share. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters see earnings of 58 cents a share and revenue totaling $3.4 billion. A year earlier, the company earned 52 cents and had $3.21 billion in revenue.

Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO)- Yahoo is scheduled to announce its Q1 2011 earnings on April 19th, 2011.
