Akamai Technologies Inc. (AKAM), change- +0.62 (1.54%): Akamai Technologies Inc. said Wednesday that its first-quarter net income rose thanks to higher revenue boosted by demand for its cloud computing solutions. But its second-quarter outlook disappointed analysts and shares fell. Net income in the three months to March 31 fell to $50.6 million, or 26 cents per share, from $40.9 million, or 22 cents per share, a year earlier. Shares dropped 9.5 percent to $37.10. The operator of a server network that helps websites load faster said second-quarter profit will be no more than 37 cents a share.

Arris Group Inc. (ARRS) : In the past year, the shares have traded as low as $8.16 and as high as $14.49. On average, 1234090 shares of ARRS exchange hands on a given day and today's volume is recorded at 649327. The shares are currently trading above the 50-day moving average which indicates that the shares have been experiencing strong upward momemtum as the 50 DMA is above the 200 DMA.

EBay Inc. (EBAY) : eBay Inc EBAY reported Q1 EPS of $0.47 today, just edging the consensus estimate for $0.46 per share. Revenue for the quarter was up 16% year-over-year to $2.55 billion, above the consensus estimate for $2.48 billion.eBay Inc. President and CEO John Donahoe said, “In the first quarter, PayPal continued to drive strong growth globally, eBay sharply accelerated growth in the U.S. and we announced several acquisitions that we believe will enhance our leadership and innovation in commerce and payments.

Arrow Electronics Inc ARW- is expected to earn $1.12 per share for quarter ended Mar 11. Estimates from Wall Street analysts ranged from as low as $1.09 per share to as high as $1.15 per share. For the same quarter last year, the company earned $0.76 per share. Revenues are expected to come in at $4.99B. Shares of Arrow Electronics Inc ARW traded higher by 1.34% or $0.6/share to $45.29.

Skechers U.S.A. Inc. (SKX) : The maker of Shape-ups toning shoes reported first-quarter profit of 24 cents a share, missing the average analyst estimate by 20 percent, according to Bloomberg data.

Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) : The world's largest coffee-shop operator posted a 20 percent increase in second-quarter profit, meeting analysts' projections, as more customers visited U.S. stores.

Vital Images Inc. (VTAL) : The maker of medical-imaging software agreed to be acquired by Toshiba Medical Systems Corp. for $273 million or $18.75 a share.

InfoSpace Inc. (INSP) : InfoSpace, Inc. (InfoSpace) develops search tools and technologies that assist consumers with finding content and information on the Internet. The Company offers search services that enable Internet users to locate and view content, information, merchants, individuals, and products online. InfoSpace offers search services, through its own Websites, such as Dogpile.com, WebCrawler.com, MetaCrawler.com, and WebFetch.com, as well as through the Websites of distribution partners.

NutriSystem Inc. (NTRI) : NutriSystem expects second quarter earnings of 25 cents to 30 cents a share, while Street predicts 30 cents a share. For the full year 2011, the company raised its earnings guidance to range of 55 cents to 65 cents a share from previous forecast of 40 cents to 50 cents a share, while Street analysts predict 46 cents a share.

Assurant Inc (AIZ) is expected to earn $1.22 per share for quarter ended Mar 11. Estimates from Wall Street analysts ranged from as low as $1.15 per share to as high as $1.40 per share. For the same quarter last year, the company earned $1.32 per share. Revenues are expected to come in at $2.08B. Shares of Assurant Inc AIZ fell by 0.42% or $-0.16/share to $38.3.
