The majority of CEOs would like to become more innovative and develop a stronger vision for the future of their company. According to a recent survey done by the growth partnership company Frost & Sullivan, when 1,200 CEOs were asked about where they felt their company ranked in terms of being innovative, more than fifty-two percent of them felt they were already within the top ten percent of their industry. But how innovative are they really? And if in fact these companies were in the top 10%, wouldn't this mean that they would also see above average industry growth rates?
In support of our quest for growth excellence, Frost & Sullivan hosts in its third year in London GIL 2011: Europe – The Global Community of Growth, Innovation and Leadership which will be held at Emirates Stadium 17-18 May 2011. Each year, Frost & Sullivan brings together some of today's greatest visionaries, innovators and leaders in order to share best practices, engage one another in candid discussions related to their growth challenges and inspire new and innovate ideas that will fuel innovation and growth pipelines.
“Together, we will examine the dynamics of growth and various tools and processes companies can use to grow their business,” shares David Frigstad, Chairman of Frost & Sullivan. “We will uncover new opportunities for growth by learning to develop our visionary perspective for the future and beyond. We will identify unmet needs and required innovations in responding to the evolving Mega Trends impacting the world around us and driving radical change for our industries.”
Frost & Sullivan analysts explain that an idea is only wildly innovative if first, the product or solution addresses an unmet need and two, is not currently a known solution and/or an existing solution with a different application. In today's market, how many products really meet these two basic requirements?
GIL 2011 – Europe will showcase Frost & Sullivan's knowledge on six specific fronts that drive Growth, Innovation and Leadership otherwise referred to as “The Six Platforms of GIL' This strategy inspires companies to see far ahead into the future of their industry and be successful through examining “visions and benchmarks”. Additional discussions in uncovering growth opportunities will include a focus on the top 10 global Mega Trends and their impact on business, cultures and society.
