In that post, I referred to the imminent launch of their BREVAGen test kits, which test for breast cancer.
Last Friday, the stock managed to rally 75c, closing at $5.67 for a 15% gain. At the time, there was no new news so the gain was a little mysterious. Genetic Technologies also trades on the Australian ASX market under the ticker symbol of GTG. Late last week there were also hints of something being afoot during the trading sessions here in Australia.
Friday's 15% gain in the US confirmed my suspicions that news was due and sure enough the following announcement was released to the market here in Australia today. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts when trading begins in the US this morning.
