Apple hopes to halt sales of HTC devices with new patent infringement claim

Back in March of last year, Apple filed a lawsuit against Taiwan-based handset manufacturer HTC, claiming that HTC infringed upon its patents. Then, in May of 2010 HTC filed a counter-lawsuit against Apple and requested that all iOS devices stop being sold for the time being.

Bloomberg is now reporting that Apple has filed a new patent complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) that looks to stop the sales of several HTC devices that the Cupertino-based company believes infringes on its patents. Apple recently filed a similar suit against Samsung, claiming Samsung stole several of iOS' design ideas in its Galaxy line of smartphones and tablets.

Apple nor HTC have been available for comment yet.
