CMT Presents Data Loss Prevention Learning Sessions
SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - CMT today announced it will host
informative sessions on data loss prevention (DLP) as part of a road-show
series designed to provide CIOs and CISOs with practical knowledge of the
primary defenses against data breach including DLP, endpoint protection,
host intrusion detection systems (HIDS) and security information and event
management (SIEM).
"Data breach is one of the most critical security challenges that
enterprises face today," said CMT President and CEO Kurt Klein. "Protecting
the perimeter is no longer enough. CIOs and CISOs need to understand how to
implement integrated countermeasures that defend against today's most
serious attacks rather than just individual point solutions."
CMT's "Anatomy of a Breach" sessions feature a panel discussion with Kevin
Rowney, founder of Vontu, the data loss prevention company that was
acquired by Symantec in 2007. Rowney will provide an overview of trends,
causes and circumstances of data breach and discuss the underlying risk
factors involved in large scale breaches. A CMT certified DLP expert and a
current customer utilizing Symantec Data Loss Prevention as part of CMT's
Absolute ManagementT practice will also sit on the panel.
CMT has added three "Anatomy of a Breach" sessions to its schedule
including:
-- Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Costa Mesa, Calif.
-- Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Bellevue, Wash. (during
SecureWorld Expo Seattle)
-- October event planned in Scottsdale, Ariz.
