Michael Milani is the founder and CEO of Mondeum Capital – a broker-dealer providing next-generation solutions to active traders.

Over the last three decades, Milani held various roles in finance, most notably as head of business development at T3 Trading Group. He’s also on the board of directors of Quasar Markets, an upcoming, AI-powered, Web 3-based financial platform. Milani has a BS in Finance from Villanova University and holds Series 7, 24 and 63 certifications from FINRA.

Milani will be among the industry experts participating at Benzinga’s Fintech Deal Day event in NYC on Nov. 13. Democratizing the Order Flow

“For years, self-directed traders have been bombarded by offerings that haven’t evolved with them,” Milani said upon Mondeum's launch earlier this year.

"We set out to create something different in Mondeum. Experienced traders deserve technology and solutions to match their sophistication," he added.

Mondeum caters to active traders seeking a seamless transition from retail-oriented platforms to more advanced trading strategies. Their core offering, Mondeum Pro, provides modern technology, competitive pricing, and personalized support for trading equities and ETFs. Clients have the choice of using advanced trading platforms, Sterling Trader Pro and DAS Trader Pro, benefiting from fast and reliable order execution via a range of smart order routes.

Mondeum aims to provide traders with a smooth evolution in their trading journey, from initial smartphone-based trading to day trading on web apps and finally to self-directed trading on desktop applications. They prioritize a streamlined onboarding process and offer competitive software, routing, margin, and market data fees.

As a seasoned market veteran, Milani recognized growing issues with order flow control.

"Payment for order flow is something that's been a hot-button topic out there. And a lot of traders are very cognizant of that, and sort of suspicious of it," he noted in an interview for NYSE Floor Talk, adding that his clients have total control over their order flow through smart order routes, enabling them to choose routes and even collect rebates.

Drawing from his rich experience, both as a trader and broker, Milani also gave valuable advice to aspiring active traders.

"Stay away from the FOMO part of the market, which is the fear of missing out. Any time you see these meme stocks out there, don't chase them. Try not to hit home runs out there," he said, pointing out that the best traders he has seen don't have outsized winners but rather keep consistent performance and preserve their capital.
