In response to a rising demand for healthier lifestyle choices, Rexis Systems has introduced Squared Libations, a groundbreaking line of non-alcoholic mocktails infused with hemp-derived THC. These innovative beverages aim to transform traditional social drinking by offering the familiar flavors of classic cocktails without the negative effects of alcohol, appealing to a new generation of mindful consumers.
“Many mocktails available in the market lack flavor and fail to deliver an authentic cocktail experience,” Keith Bushfield, CEO of Rexis Systems and upcoming speaker at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference, told Benzinga. “Recognizing this gap, we set out to create beverages that truly capture the essence of a well-crafted cocktail, as your bartender intended.”
This initiative reflects Rexis Systems’ commitment to innovation, bridging the gap between taste satisfaction and healthier lifestyle choices.
Health-Conscious Shift Away From Alcohol
Bushfield explained that Squared Libations was developed in response to consumers’ growing preference for healthier lifestyle choices, particularly younger generations.
“They see alcohol differently than we did in the past two or three generations. The understanding that alcohol is unhealthy and dangerous is really starting to be prevalent among younger consumers,” Bushfield noted.
The mocktails, which mimic the taste of classic prohibition-era cocktails like gin, whiskey and tequila, offer a unique blend of flavor without the hangover.
“They taste just like your bartender intended. Not everybody can do this,” Bushfield stated.
Focused On Social Enjoyment And Controlled Experience
Rexis Systems crafted its beverages to foster social interactions without the typical intoxication associated with alcohol. According to Bushfield, “We can consume hemp beverages in the way we have enjoyed alcohol in the past, with even less intoxicating effects and more managed results. I can go to a party, I can go to a barbecue, I can have fun on any occasion.”
The products feature a quick onset and offset of effects, making them ideal for social settings where consumers desire control over their experience.
“Our tech is designed to have a quick onset of 15-20 minutes, but what’s a game changer is that it will turn off in 60 – 90 minutes,” Bushfield added.
Addressing Regulatory Challenges and Market Opportunities
As the market for non-alcoholic THC-infused beverages grows, Rexis Systems is not shying away from regulatory challenges. The company actively engages with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and safe consumption.
“Our products are strictly for adults aged 21 and over, and we enforce this through age-gating and distribution channels via liquor distributors,” Bushfield emphasized.
Expanding Reach Beyond Traditional Venues
The launch of Squared Libations is part of Rexis Systems’ broader initiative to make hemp and cannabis products more accessible. The company is partnering with entertainment complexes and large-scale venues to integrate these beverages into more mainstream settings.
As consumer preferences continue to evolve, Rexis Systems is poised to lead the shift towards safer, healthier alternatives to traditional alcoholic beverages, offering an innovative solution that aligns with modern lifestyle choices.
