America's Car-Mart Posts Upbeat Sales, Joins Methode Electronics, Verint Systems, Brown-Forman And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 150 points on Wednesday.

Shares of America’s Car-Mart, Inc. CRMT rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results.

America’s Car-Mart reported a quarterly loss of 24 cents per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of 10 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $347.27 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $344.37 million.

America’s Car-Mart shares jumped 19.7% to $54.70 on Thursday.

  • Methode Electronics, Inc. MEI shares jumped 29.2% to $15.00 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • Verint Systems Inc. VRNT shares surged 28% to $33.22 after the company reported a year-over-year increase in third-quarter financial results.
  • AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd. AGRI rose 24% to $3.8057. AgriFORCE announced the launch of sustainable agricultural operations at its newly acquired Bitcoin mining facility in Sturgeon County, Alberta, Canada.
  • Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. SEI gained 19% to $28.76 as the company announced fourth quarter financial and operational update and power solutions growth capital developments.
  • Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. CAPR rose 18.7% to $15.10.
  • SoundHound AI, Inc. SOUN gained 17.3% to $11.91. The stock gained nearly 100% over the past month, driven by developments in its technology deployment, increased market enthusiasm for conversational AI and improved financial performance.
  • Archer Aviation Inc. ACHR rose 14.3% to $7.95.
  • Hut 8 Corp. HUT gained 14% to $30.85. Hut 8 recently announced it entered into an equity offering sales agreement to sell up to $500 million worth of stock and launched a $250 million repurchase program.
  • Five Below, Inc. FIVE rose 13% to $118.51 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results and issued FY24 guidance above estimates. Also, Telsey Advisory Group and Morgan Stanley raised their respective price targets on the stock.
  • American Airlines Group Inc. AAL gained 10.1% to $16.39 after the company issued fourth-quarter adjusted EPS guidance above estimates.
  • Brown-Forman Corporation BF gained 8.8% to $44.60 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and lowered its Capex expenditure guidance.
  • Rivian Automotive, Inc. RIVN surged 5.2% to $12.59.
  • ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. ZIM gained 5% to $20.53.
